Tarek’s passion for fitness and strength training began at a young age, when he was a professional basketball player for the Syrian National Team U16 and U18. He later moved to Dubai to pursue a bachelor’s degree at the American University in Dubai (AUD) under an athletic scholarship.

Calisthenics

Post Basketball Tarek moved to advanced bodyweight training (Calisthenics) which is a form of exercise that uses one’s own body weight to build strength, endurance and flexibility. Calisthenics has been able to show improvement in overall body control and core strength and stability. Over 2 years of practicing Calisthenics Tarek gained the knowledge and experience in developing strength in individuals with no training background through floor and bodyweight exercises.

Strength Training & Power Lifting

After developing a solid muscle base from professional sports and calisthenics training, Tarek moved the strength and power lifting to gain size and strength to look more for a complete package where you’re able to combine bodyweight movements, resistance training, explosive and power movements and maximal training in his routine.
Throughout this phase, Tarek was able to go from 73-74 Kgs to 93-94 Kgs while still maintaining athleticism and explosiveness
